It’s called Pertalite, sold by Pertamina, Indonesia’s biggest oil and gas company, and I think it’s odd since it has octane rating of 90.
It means now in Indonesia you can choose 5 types of Gasoline: Premium (RON 88), Pertalite (90), Pertamax (92), Pertamax Plus (95), and Pertamax Racing (100). Pertalite cost about 0.62 USD per litre btw.
Now I wonder they choose octane rating of 90..

tell me more about this “Solar”
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:31 |

Yeah, what?
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:32 |

That’s an exotic choice.
Here’s mine. Black nozzle (diesel) or green (petrol). The latter is 95 octane, there are no other choices.

Solar is Diesel. There’s also a some kind of Fancier diesel for European cars called Pertamina DEX.

They rate with RON? Interesting. I wonder what the MON is.

that’s dumb I wanted to run my car on sunshine and rainbows yo! for get NOS this shit’s got solar radiation!
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:34 |

We have 87,89,91,93, and 94 octane up here!
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:36 |

I wondered what the hell Pertamina was, it’s a series sponsor for Lamborghini Super Trofeo.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:37 |

There’s a table here
Most of the world uses RON
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:37 |
|
Interesting. Why 87?
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:38 |
|
87 is regular octane in North America. Most cars run on it.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:38 |

Lol.
I’m going to put some solar power in my car, yo. I never really thought of saying that.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:40 |

Honestly, I prefer to have only two choices. But we can’t do that because that’s against the law in here.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:41 |

Yeah, i know. It’s kinda awesome.
Fastron is the oil lineup that Pertamina makes.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:41 |

They use different octane ratings, their 87 would be about 92 elsewhere.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:41 |
|
Well, technically fossil fuels were created by solar power millions of years ago, so there’s that.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:42 |

I see. I didn’t know that.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:43 |

You’d think I would have known that, I work on the damn car! I don’t really care what it says on the paint though ;)
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:44 |

Yes, there are RON, MON and AKI numbers. More here

Thanks!
Looks like R+M/2 is the USA’s 93.

Please answer my question from yesterday

You what?! I believe this requires a full Oppo article with lurid insider info.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:49 |

We have 87, 89, and 91. Sometimes you can find 93. There’s a station on the way to work that sells 110 leaded race fuel at the pump.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:51 |
|
That is Awesome!
Now I wonder did they really run Pertamina fuel or oils in the cars.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 18:58 |

Interesting.
In Indonesia Racing Fuel is sold in a Can, and it cost about 4 USD per Litre..

Nope, VP fuel and Castrol Edge oil. We don’t get any Pertamina stuff here that I’m aware of, which is why I had no idea what it was.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 19:24 |

That’s interesting. I know it’ll going to be just a PR stunt.

And oh, a Friend of mine has a Lamborghini Gallardo (an ex Super Trofeo cars) that’s he’s going to sell. Do the super trofeo cars is quite reliable for.. at least weekend driving?
He only ever put 1400kmsince he bought it, all on track.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 19:44 |
|
They seem to be, but they do require a lot of work to stay reliable. The Gallardo is much harder to work on according to my friends, I’ve never worked on one.

My local here in the UK has three options, basic is 95 RON and the Momentum is 99 or roughly equivalent to pertamina racing fuel. I occasionally use Shell and they have performance diesel fuel too.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 19:49 |
|
I see. Oh well, Mrs won’t allow it anyway.
![]() 07/24/2015 at 19:58 |

In Indonesia diesel called Solar, and we also have Pertamina Dex for fancy Diesel.
I occasionally used other gas station as well, mainly Total and Shell, using the V-POWER.

Last time I bought 110 ( http://oppositelock.kinja.com/91-for-a-tank-… ) it was right around $7.50 USD/gal.

It’s funny how “premium” is the worst one.

I’d advise you answer me if you wish to continue being an author on Oppo, and even a commenter because us mods are considering revoking your authorship
because we don’t feel like dealing with a plagiariser, I’d advise you to confirm whether or not you took those photos
thanks

Depends. Some of them, yes. Plus since I’ve been writing exclusively from Android there days, since my laptop flash drive has spectacularly died.
